Lisa Burke

Lisa Burke ist eine in Luxemburg ansässige Rundfunksprecherin, wo sie RTL Today, die englischsprachigen Nachrichten, mitgestaltet hat. Dort hat sie eine wöchentliche Chat-Show, in der sie alle Themen durch ausführliche, lange Interviews abdeckt, die sie präsentiert und produziert. Zuvor arbeitete Lisa ein Jahrzehnt lang bei Sky News in London, wo sie die erste Wissenschaftskorrespondentin des Senders wurde. Außerdem lebte sie zwei Jahre lang in Abu Dhabi und schrieb für das Wochenendmagazin von The National. Lisa hat zahlreiche Dokumentarfilme für RTE (Irland) moderiert und mit der BBC zusammengearbeitet.
Seit 2005 ist Lisa wissenschaftliche Autorin und Beraterin für wissenschaftliche Kinderbücher und arbeitet hauptsächlich mit Dorling Kindersley zusammen. Als Moderatorin und Sprecherin reist sie für Konferenzen durch ganz Europa. Zu ihren Kunden zählen unter anderem die ESA, die Europäische Weltraumorganisation und der European Brain Council.
Lisa hat an der Universität Cambridge Naturwissenschaften mit dem Schwerpunkt Chemie studiert.

Lisa Burke is a broadcaster based in Luxembourg where she co-created RTL Today; news in English. There, she has a weekly chat-show covering all topics through in-depth, long-form interviews which she presents and produces. Previously, Lisa worked at Sky News in London for a decade, becoming their first science correspondent. She also lived in Abu Dhabi for two years, writing for The National’s weekend magazine. Lisa has presented numerous documentaries for RTE (Ireland), and worked with the BBC.

Lisa is a science author and consultant for children’s science books since 2005, working mostly with Dorling Kindersley. As an event moderator and speaker she travels across Europe for conferences. Clients include ESA, the European Space Agency, and the European Brain Council, amongst many others.

Lisa studied Natural Sciences, specialising in chemistry, at Cambridge University.
