Dr. Christian Scharun

Dr. Christian Scharun is a climate researcher and scientific author. Until 2023 he investigated the influences of greenhouse gas emissions on global warming at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In 2021, his work was awarded „Scientific Breakthrough of the Year“ at the Berlin Science Week. 2022 Christian won FameLab Germany, one of the largest science communication competitions worldwide. He also regularly performs at science slams and communicates his content in numerous different formats. He is currently working as a scientific author for the ZDFneo show MAITHINK X, with which he was nominated for the German Television Award in the category “Best Infotainment” in 2024. Christian Scharun also writes regularly for the Terra X science column.
