Hanno Charisius

Hanno Charisius is a biologist and journalist. He is a staff writer at the Süddeutsche Zeitung and writes as a freelance author for the science sections of Die Zeit and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung as well as for the online magazine krautreporter.de. In 2013, he published the non-fiction book „Biohacking“ together with two colleagues. The following year saw the publication of the book „Bund fürs Leben – Warum Bakterien unsere Freunde sind“ (Covenant for Life – Why Bacteria Are Our Friends), which he wrote with Richard Friebe.
