Julia Pawlowski

Julia Pawlowski is a communication designer specialising in the field of visual science communication and exhibition design. As a research assistant at Universität Hamburg, she designed her first workshops in 2019 to support doctoral students and university lecturers in their internal visual science communication in papers and keynotes as well as on research posters and has been developing these further as a freelance lecturer ever since.
Since 2021, she has been working as a research assistant in the ‘Digital and Data Literacy in Teaching Lab’ (DDLitLab) at Universität Hamburg, where she realises video and interview projects for the project’s public relations work, among other things. She is also currently developing an interdisciplinary course on „Backgrounds, data and effects of image-generating AI“.
As a freelance exhibition designer, she has also been realising various film and exhibition sections for the Museum of Nature at the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change in Hamburg (formerly CeNak) since 2016. She is also responsible for the design of the special exhibition „Eozän – Am Beginn unserer Welt“ (2021 – 2022).
