David Lohner

Didactician & Learning Experience Designer

Since June 2025, David Lohner has been working as a didactician and learning experience designer at NaWik. Following his studies in Geography and German Studies, he turned his focus to learning in higher education. He now brings over a decade of experience in developing media-based educational resources. In recognition of his innovative teaching, he was awarded the Faculty Teaching Prize in 2021 by the KIT Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Currently, he is pursuing a doctorate in higher education, with a research focus on the design of digital learning formats. He serves a Managing Director of the Administrative Office of the German Society for Academic Development (dghd) and is also a member of the German Society for Knowledge Management (gfwm). His work is particularly informed by a commitment to fostering individual learning and competence development. As such, he emphasizes the integration of sociocultural, pedagogical, and technological dimensions in the design of educational processes.
