Cecilia Buz

Cecilia Buz has been a research assistant in the evaluation team at the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik) since March 2021. In this role, she is involved in the empirical study of science communication in various formats and fields of application. She conducts and accompanies evaluations using a wide range of methods, from online surveys and guided interviews to eye-tracking data analysis. In addition, she teaches the theoretical foundations of this field of work as a lecturer in the workshop “Evaluation of Science Communication.”

Cecilia Buz first studied media and communication management in Hamburg and worked as an online marketing manager for five years. Through her master’s degree (2018–2020) in “Science – Media – Communication” at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), she turned her attention to science communication and laid the foundation for her current work. At NaWik, she also participated in research projects in which she dealt with empirical questions concerning the reception and impact of science communication in practice.
