Online-Workshop: Communicating Science Online

This online-workshop combines the teaching of key concepts with practical exercises and direct feedback.
During scheduled seminar sessions, participants work together with our trainers to learn how to use social media strategically for science communication.
Small groups, interactive elements, and two instructors ensure a lasting learning experience—from anywhere.

General conditions and key data

  • Duration: Two half-days (each 3.5 hours incl. breaks)
  • Time: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
  • Maximum number of participants: 12 people
  • Languages: German or English
  • The online workshop is conducted by two trainers
  • With digital content for in-depth and long-term learning success
  • After successful participation the participants will receive a certificate
  • We would be happy to share the training evaluation results with you afterward
  • At the end of the first day, the participants will receive an assignment to be completed and discussed together by the second session. Please make sure to allocate sufficient time for completing the assignment
  • This format is also available as an in-person workshop or as an e-learning course
  • Please also note: NaWik events are aimed at long-term learning success. We would therefore like to point out to people who have already taken part in a NaWik training course that important core elements such as the NaWik arrow are repeated in all courses

Technical Requirements

The online workshop is conducted using the video conferencing software Zoom. If exercises are included in the training context, they are carried out using Google Office solutions (e.g., Google Docs or Google Forms). These applications are used within the framework of the GDPR-compliant enterprise solution Google G Suite.
Participants do not need a personal Google account to use these tools.
All tools used (Zoom & G Suite) have been reviewed for data protection compliance and meet GDPR requirements**, ensuring that participants’ personal data is protected.
