Cecilia Buz

Cecilia Buz ist seit März 2021 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Evaluationsteam des Nationalen Instituts für Wissenschaftskommunikation (NaWik). In dieser Rolle befasst sie sich mit der empirischen Untersuchung von Wissenschaftskommunikation in unterschiedlichen Formaten und Anwendungsfeldern. Sie entwickelt und begleitet Evaluationen mit einem breiten Methodenspektrum, von Onlinebefragungen und leitfadengestützten Interviews bis hin zu Blickdatenanalysen. Darüber hinaus vermittelt sie als Dozentin im Workshop „Evaluation von Wissenschaftskommunikation“ die theoretischen Grundlagen dieses Arbeitsfelds.

Cecilia Buz studierte zunächst Medien- & Kommunikationsmanagement in Hamburg und arbeitete fünf Jahre lang als Online Marketing Managerin. Durch ihr Masterstudium (2018–2020) im Fach „Wissenschaft – Medien – Kommunikation“ am Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) wandte sie sich der Wissenschaftskommunikation zu und legte den Grundstein für ihre heutige Tätigkeit. Dabei wirkte sie am NaWik auch an Forschungsprojekten mit, in denen sie sich mit empirischen Fragestellungen zur Rezeption und Wirkung von Wissenschaftskommunikation in der Praxis beschäftigte.

Cecilia Buz has been a research assistant in the evaluation team at the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik) since March 2021. In this role, she is involved in the empirical study of science communication in various formats and fields of application. She conducts and accompanies evaluations using a wide range of methods, from online surveys and guided interviews to eye-tracking data analysis. In addition, she teaches the theoretical foundations of this field of work as a lecturer in the workshop “Evaluation of Science Communication.”

Cecilia Buz first studied media and communication management in Hamburg and worked as an online marketing manager for five years. Through her master’s degree (2018–2020) in “Science – Media – Communication” at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), she turned her attention to science communication and laid the foundation for her current work. At NaWik, she also participated in research projects in which she dealt with empirical questions concerning the reception and impact of science communication in practice.
